Our mission

To promote musical and instrumental education through the social inclusion of teaching an unconventional instrument such as the oboe at a high, pre-college level, and givingmusical presentations, locally and nationally. Our motto is “Music, Hope and Purpose.”Our short and long term vision is to continue the legacy of teaching the oboe, and maintain an active group of high performing oboists inside and outside of Honduras, as excellent representatives of our country.

Our history

In 2021, one of our greatest dreams came true: to start a non-profit foundation and oboe school to train new professional oboists and to support the existing community of oboists which, due to limited resources in Honduras, has not managed to thrive or to grow. This achievement was made possible in collaboration with a group of fellow oboists and businesses inside and outside of Honduras.

The non-profit organization is established in the United States, and the oboe school is based at the Evangelical Christian University New Millenium (UCENM) in Honduras. Both are associated by agreement.

Organization goals

Contribute to the training of oboists through a comprehensive education (taught by an oboe teacher) providing them with the opportunity to study abroad once the full program is completed.

Provide students with an instrument, reed kits, and other supplies to ensure a successful start to their studies and their future careers.

Offer recitals and performances for community interaction and education.

Commission oboe repertoire from Honduran composers to promote and preserve our culture.
